Patience and Noreen
Team Kale Nyabo with Noreen and Patience in 1. Kibuye Primary School, Makindye District, Kampala, Uganda
Meet Patience and Noreen, two beautiful girls from Uganda with a bright future ahead of them.
Kale Nyabo supports underprivileged children by making sure that they receive the education that any child should have the right to. Together with our Ugandan partner organization - SACC, we identify cases of orphans and children from very poor families that are in need of support. Kale Nyabo strongly believes that education is one of the most important steps towards a better future and we want to encourage the children to study hard and pursue their dreams.
Right now Kale Nyabo supports, through each of your purchases, 9 children from Uganda among whom Cyrus a 10-year-old boy, but also Noreen and Patience with school fees and school supplies.

Noreen (13 years old) and Patience (11 years old) are step sisters living with their grandmother, who suffers from high blood pressure. Noreen’s father died while he was in prison and Patience’s mother died in a tragic accident and ever since their grandmother takes care of them. Their grandmother rents a room where they all live together with the money that their grandmother makes by selling a sorghum drink. Even though she works hard to provide the family with a roof above their heads and to be able to pay for her own medicines, she is not able to also pay for Noreen and Patience’s school fees. SACC started to take care of the girls when they were 8 and 6 with their child sponsorship project, a project that supports the entire family. However, for the past 2 years, Kale Nyabo started helping them by paying for their school fees with part of our profit so we can ensure Noreen and Patience and their families with better opportunities for the future.

While the founders of SACC regularly check up on Noreen and Patience to see how they are doing, if they are still going to school, etc. our team also visits the girls every time we are in Uganda. For us, it is of extreme importance that we follow up on their development in any way we can to ensure the best opportunities possible for these two young girls. We remember the girls telling us that they dream of being a doctor and a lawyer to help their people. Hearing this makes us extremely proud of Noreen and Patience not only because of their big dreams, but also because of their high grades and to see how far they have come.
